Microneedling
Precision micro-channels that trigger your skin's own repair response — building collagen, smoothing texture, and progressively renewing your complexion from within.
Book a Microneedling SessionControlled injury. Extraordinary renewal.
Microneedling works on a deceptively simple principle: controlled micro-injuries trigger the skin's natural wound-healing cascade, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. The result is progressive improvement in skin texture, tone, pore size, and fine lines — without removing or ablating the skin's surface.
At HydraSpa, we use medical-grade microneedling devices with adjustable needle depth, allowing precise treatment of different skin concerns and anatomical areas. Each session is customized to your skin type, concerns, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Microneedling is one of the most versatile corrective treatments available. It addresses acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality — and its results compound over a series of treatments. When combined with PRF or PRP, the regenerative response is significantly amplified.
Triggering your skin's repair cascade
- Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
- Fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the dermis, triggering the wound-healing cascade. Fibroblasts are activated to produce new collagen and elastin — the structural proteins responsible for firm, smooth, youthful skin. Results build progressively over 4–6 weeks after each session.
- Epidermal Remodeling
- Micro-channels stimulate keratinocyte proliferation and accelerate cellular turnover in the epidermis. Over a series of treatments, this produces a smoother, more even surface with refined pores and improved texture.
- Enhanced Product Penetration
- Micro-channels temporarily increase skin permeability, allowing topically applied serums, PRF, or PRP to penetrate far deeper than they could through intact skin. This is why microneedling combined with PRF or PRP produces results significantly greater than either treatment alone.
- Scar Remodeling
- For atrophic acne scars and textural irregularities, microneedling disrupts the disorganized collagen fibers that form scar tissue and stimulates the production of new, organized collagen. Progressive scar remodeling occurs over multiple sessions.

Who benefits from microneedling?
- Adults with acne scarring — atrophic, textural, or post-inflammatory
- Those with enlarged pores, uneven texture, or rough skin surface
- Individuals with fine lines, early wrinkles, or skin laxity
- Patients with hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone
- Anyone seeking progressive, compounding skin improvement
- Those who want corrective results without ablative downtime
- Patients looking to amplify results with PRF or PRP combination
Common questions
- How many microneedling sessions will I need?
- Most skin concerns respond best to a series of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Mild texture and tone concerns may show significant improvement in 3 sessions; deeper acne scarring typically requires 4–6 sessions for optimal results. Your clinician will design a protocol based on your specific goals and skin type.
- What is the downtime after microneedling?
- Most patients experience redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours. Mild swelling and skin sensitivity are common for 1–2 days. Most people return to normal activities the next day. Avoid direct sun exposure, active skincare ingredients (retinoids, acids), and heavy makeup for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
- Is microneedling painful?
- A topical numbing cream is applied 30–45 minutes before treatment, making the procedure well-tolerated for most patients. You may feel mild pressure or warmth during treatment. Sensitive areas (around the nose, forehead) may be more noticeable. Most patients describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort rather than pain.
- What is the difference between microneedling and microneedling with PRF or PRP?
- Standard microneedling relies on the collagen induction response alone. Adding PRF or PRP introduces concentrated growth factors directly into the micro-channels, amplifying the regenerative response, accelerating healing, and deepening collagen stimulation. The combination is particularly effective for acne scarring, skin laxity, and patients seeking faster or more dramatic results.
- Can microneedling treat active acne?
- Microneedling is not recommended during active breakouts — the needles can spread bacteria and worsen inflammation. We assess your skin before every session and may defer treatment if you have active acne. Microneedling is highly effective for post-acne scarring and hyperpigmentation once the active phase has resolved.
- How long do microneedling results last?
- Results from a full treatment series typically last 12–18 months. Because microneedling stimulates your own collagen production, results are gradual and natural — and they continue to improve for several months after your final session. Maintenance sessions every 6–12 months help sustain and build on your results.
