L-Glutathione
The body's master antioxidant — delivered intramuscularly for rapid cellular detoxification, immune support, skin brightening, and anti-aging benefits.
Your body's most powerful antioxidant — replenished.
Glutathione is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids — glutamine, cysteine, and glycine — and is produced naturally in every cell of the body. It is the most abundant and arguably the most important antioxidant in human biology, responsible for neutralizing free radicals, supporting immune function, detoxifying the liver, and maintaining cellular health.
The problem is that glutathione levels decline with age, stress, poor diet, environmental toxin exposure, and chronic illness. Oral glutathione supplementation is largely ineffective because the molecule is broken down in the digestive tract before it can be absorbed. Intramuscular injection delivers glutathione directly into muscle tissue, where it is absorbed rapidly and distributed systemically.
Regular glutathione injections support the body's detoxification pathways, reduce oxidative stress, brighten skin tone by inhibiting melanin production, and support immune resilience. It is one of the most requested injections at HydraSpa — and for good reason.
Active ingredients
- L-Glutathione (Reduced)
- The active, reduced form of glutathione. Neutralizes reactive oxygen species, supports liver detoxification (Phase II), inhibits melanin synthesis, and regenerates other antioxidants including Vitamins C and E.
What it may support
- Powerful cellular detoxification and liver support
- Reduces oxidative stress and free radical damage
- Brightens skin tone and reduces hyperpigmentation
- Supports immune system function
- Anti-aging effects at the cellular level
- Supports mitochondrial function and energy production
- Regenerates other antioxidants (Vitamin C, Vitamin E)
- May improve insulin sensitivity
- Supports neurological health and cognitive function
- Reduces inflammation
Individual results vary. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. Vitamin injections are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
How often should you get a Glutathione shot?
- Skin brightening protocol: weekly for 8–12 weeks, then monthly for maintenance
- Detoxification and immune support: every 1–2 weeks
- Anti-aging and cellular health maintenance: monthly
- Post-illness recovery: weekly for 2–4 weeks
- Results are cumulative — consistent treatment produces the most significant and lasting improvements
Who is a good candidate?
- Individuals seeking skin brightening or a more even skin tone
- Those with hyperpigmentation, melasma, or uneven complexion
- People with high toxic load or occupational chemical exposure
- Individuals with chronic fatigue or oxidative stress
- Those recovering from illness, surgery, or intense physical stress
- People with liver conditions or elevated liver enzymes
- Anyone seeking anti-aging support at the cellular level
- Individuals with autoimmune conditions or chronic inflammation
- Those looking to enhance the results of other wellness therapies
Common questions
- How does glutathione brighten skin?
- Glutathione inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, which is required for melanin (skin pigment) production. By reducing melanin synthesis, regular glutathione injections can produce a brighter, more even skin tone over time. This effect is cumulative and most noticeable after 8–12 weeks of consistent treatment.
- Why can't I just take oral glutathione?
- Oral glutathione is largely broken down in the gastrointestinal tract before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Studies show that oral supplementation has minimal impact on systemic glutathione levels. Intramuscular injection bypasses this problem entirely, delivering the full dose directly into circulation.
- Can I combine glutathione with other shots?
- Yes. Glutathione pairs particularly well with Vitamin C (which regenerates oxidized glutathione), B12, and Tri-Immune shots. It is also commonly combined with IV infusion therapy for enhanced systemic effects.
- Is glutathione safe for long-term use?
- Glutathione has an excellent safety profile and is well-tolerated for long-term use. It is a naturally occurring molecule produced by the body. There are no known toxic effects at therapeutic doses.
- How long before I see skin brightening results?
- Skin tone improvements are gradual and cumulative. Most clients notice a subtle brightening effect after 4–6 weeks of weekly injections. More significant changes in hyperpigmentation and overall luminosity are typically visible after 8–12 weeks of consistent treatment.
